Donor Embryos

We offer donated embryos to couples who no longer have the opportunity to use their own germ cells (eggs or sperm) for artificial insemination.

DONOR EMBRYOS ARE THE RESULT OF COMBINING DONOR EGGS WITH DONOR SPERM.

WHEN SELECTING THE DONORS, WE DO OUR BEST TO MATCH BOTH PROSPECTIVE PARENTS’ PHYSICAL FEATURES (HEIGHT, EYE AND HAIR COLOUR) AS WELL AS CHARACTER TRAITS, HOBBIES AND INTERESTS, WITH THOSE OF THE DONORS.WITH OUR STATE-OF-THE-ART DONOR DATABASE, UNIQUE IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC, WE ARE IMMEDIATELY ABLE TO LOCATE A NEAR-PERFECT MATCH. THERE IS NO WAITING PERIOD FOR EMBRYO DONATION TREATMENT.

Egg donor and sperm donor

Egg donors are women aged 18 to 34, and sperm donors are men aged 18 to 35.

All donors undergo comprehensive screening, including psychological, genetic, and hormonal assessments, as well as testing for infectious diseases such as HIV.

Women and men accepted into the donor program have successfully completed extensive evaluations: psychological assessment, clinical examination, screening for sexually transmitted infections (HIV, HBsAg, CMV, syphilis, chlamydia), hormonal profiling, blood group and Rh factor determination, and genetic testing (karyotype analysis, screening for mutations associated with cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy, and connexin 26-related congenital deafness). Female donors additionally undergo ultrasound examination.

In treatments with donated embryos, only oocytes and sperm from donors screened in accordance with Directive 2004/23/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, Act No. 296/2008 Coll., and Decree No. 422/2008 are used.
